    • Our customers have experienced as many as 1 million documents stored in as little as 80gb.
  • A dedicated server is not required, but is supported if desired.
  • Backup device for server – your server should be performing regular backups every evening.

The Archive Loader Service program must reside on the DDX Application server (aka: DDX server). The DDX.Archive database may also reside on that same server, or on a separate server.

DDX.Connect Requirements for Fax Modem, Email, Print and File Transport

The following are requirements for DDX.Connect (Fax, Email and Laser Forms)—all installed on the DDX server.

  • Fax modem (1 per fax line)
    • External Multitech ZBA family of modems (MT9234ZBA or MT5634ZBA-v90 or v92 serial connection only) for faxing (est $120 USD) – see Multitech’s website for more information.
    • Phone line – direct dial-out dedicated to each fax modem
    • NOTE: If using DDX’s fax engine, this must be installed on a physical server or PC because serial communication with the fax modem is required. It has been our experience that serial communications are not well supported (if at all) on virtual servers.
  • Email – All automated outbound email is relayed through your SMTP server. Therefore, DDX requires an open, unencrypted connection to your SMTP server. All attendant security must be pre-enabled to accommodate the use of this server by the DDX server.
  • File transport – DDX.Connect requires an available connection to your host system to transport files.
    • A network connection between the DDX server and your host system
    • Host login and password that has read/delete privileges
    • A common directory where documents to be transported are placed (login defaults to this directory)
    • Windows 2012 or newer hosts – network disc access
  • Standard Windows printer drivers (laser or inkjet) is installed on and accessible from the DDX server for all printers used by DDX
  • DDX’s print driver supports Windows 10 and above, and Windows Server 2012 or above. This driver is used for the DDX.Form Recognition module.
